Integrative Medicine

What is an integrative medicine consult?

Before your visit you will be asked to complete health history forms.

Your initial visit will be 45 min to an hour-long deep dive into your personal and family health history, health concerns, medications, supplements, nutrition, lifestyle, spirituality, and health goals.

Any needed tests will be ordered. Some recommended tests may be functional lab tests or nutrient levels that aren’t always covered by insurance but Dr Rongitsch will discuss this with you.

If you’ve seen other providers, Dr Rongitsch may want to review labs and outside records.

Dr Rongitsch will then work with you to create and hone an individualized care plan encompassing:

  • Nutrition

  • Mind-body modalities

  • Herbs/supplements

  • Education and tools to help you improve your own well-being from wherever you may be starting

  • Conventional medical care when indicated--ie antidepressant, hormone, or other prescription medication

What conditions does Dr Rongitsch treat?

To name a few: depression, anxiety, autoimmune disorders, GI issues/IBS or leaky gut, food sensitivities, nonspecific symptoms such as fatigue, hives, migraines, hormonal issues/PMS/menopause, diabetes, hypertension, and more…

Will Dr Rongitsch work within the Health at Every Size framework?

Yes Dr Rongitsch tries to work with patients in alignment with their values and believes that people of all sizes can optimize their health.

Will insurance cover this care?

Generally yes if care is for a specific diagnosis--ie depression or hypertension. Visits are billed as typical office visits based on complexity and/or time spent.

Your copay, coinsurance, deductible will apply.

If additional time is spent reviewing medical records and outside labs, your insurance will be billed for this time.
